Chakula

During a recent trip to Tanzania in the autumn of 2021, we were thinking of a new name. The fillings in this range would contain a lot of fruits, and at the time, we happened to find ourselves in the Swahili region. Danny, our Head of Production, asked our park ranger what the Swahili for ‘fruit’ was…”CHAKULA”.

The name of our new range was born. Chakula Coming in at 12 grams, the Chakula is the middle class of the three. Each of the five flavours is made with fruit – lots of it – and little sugar. We can even refer to the Chakula as ‘vegan’ and ‘low sugar’.
